For many years now, we have been talking about social media. Some of the most interesting developments have been how brands and companies have revolutionized their relationships with the public and their customers. There is still some confusion between what differentiates a social network and social media. As an example, Facebook is no longer a social network, it has become a very sophisticated social platform in which you can do a great many things such as discussion, publishing, sharing, games, and networking.
Facebook is not representative of how social media works and especially in the social dynamics that drive them. You should not confuse the ideas of community and social and so I would like to share with you some definitions of the different types of social media that are online.
